Dreezy’s powerful song “Spar,” featuring 6LACK and Kodak Black,
has received an animated makeover created by Tristan Zammit. The
politically-charged track gets brought to life in an equally thoughtful
video that highlights how “the youth feel about today’s society and how
we all need to be playing a part and paying attention,” Dreezy states.
The track itself confronts subjects such as racial injustice, white supremacy, cultural appropriation, and Donald Trump – all subjects that have taken center stage in America over recent months. With the animated video depicting a silhouette of Colin Kaepernick on one knee, a note saying “Free Meek Mill,”
and a news report on a racially-motivated Orlando shooting, the message
from Dreezy is loud and clear. You can watch the video in full above. In other hip-hop news, Trippie Redd & Travis Scott link up on “Dark Knight Dummo.“
